Decision Time
Round 3
Well, if you’re keeping track at home we’re a few days past the end of the second 18-day segment. Life has been hectic and I haven’t been able to get around to posting, but oddly enough that perfectly illustrates what I wanted to say with this update.
We’ve reached the time of year when goals start falling by the wayside. Bible reading plans rarely make it through February. My gym’s new year boom has already disappeared.
Keeping a goal for a week or two is easy. Keeping it into the second month, once life has thrown its inevitable twists and turns at you? That’s what determines whether you’re actually growing.
Maybe you’re still on fire—keep it up!
Maybe you’re still stuck at the starting line—oh well, the year is only 10% over. You’ve got 90% of a year ahead of you to level up by 2025.
Maybe you started well but your routines and habits are starting to get frayed—in that case, it’s decision time. Will you throw in the towel because it got difficult, or will you rededicate yourself to your goals and figure out what needs to happen to have a better 18?
Again, the year is only 10% done. Hit this next 18 days hard to set yourself up for a great first quarter.
